Devon belongs to a group of young people who are motivated to define goals, take control and responsibility for their lives. He is a young man determined to carve himself a place in the world.

Born and raised in Leduc, Alberta, he grew up listening to a variety of music, but he felt the greatest affinity for artists like Paul Simon and Jim Croce. Devon has been composing and performing for 6 years, having started playing music in high-school with friends, with whom he briefly formed a cover band called Big Mamma Jamma. Gradually, he began experimenting with the idea of writing his own material. Near the end of his senior year, he wrote a song titled ‘Ice Cream,’ which a friend suggested they play at their graduation ceremonies. The performance was a huge success! On that surging tide of success, supportive comments from a close friend and mentor helped to focus his passion.

In these few short years, Devon has played a seemingly uncountable number of small shows, paying his dues in the finest tradition of young performers everywhere. Happily, his efforts are beginning to draw attention and he recently has been booked in a few larger venues.  Devon remains a promising and rising Canadian musical artist that continues to serve his community at every turn.
