Asim Chin and Jinting Zhao were invited to the prestigious Songwriters’ Association of Canada SongWorks writing camp. The three day event took place June 15th to June 17th at Sound Extractor studios. Participants were hand-picked by the SAC and recognized as among the very best songwriters in their region. Only 9 in Alberta were chosen to participate.
SongWorks is designed to bring professional songwriters and artists together to create new Canadian songs that are intended to target specific artists and/or projects. This event allows opportunities for songwriters to collaborate and network with other songwriters they might not otherwise have the chance to. The Alberta event was facilitated by Vince Degiorgio of Chapter 2 Productions, a major international music publishing and production company.
